Attorneys Debra Reece and Anne-Marie Storey to present session at Workers Comp Summit

Rudman Winchell attorneys Debra Reece and Anne-Marie Storey will be speaking at the upcoming Annual Workers Compensation Summit. The event takes place from 9/11 to 9/13 in Northport.

Debby is part of a panel presenting “The Door to Collaboration: Comp 101”.The presentation is designed to enhance understanding of workers’ comp concepts and the specific language of workers’ comp in Maine. Participants will gain proficiency with procedures and learn about several important changes implemented by the Board.

Anne-Marie will be part of a panel discussion called “When Does an Injury Manifest Itself?
And When Does a Worker Need to Give Notice that it’s Work Related? You Decide the Case.”
This session will use actual cases and a debate format to discuss gradual as well as traumatic injuries, when the “notice” requirement is reasonably triggered, and exceptions to the 90-day notice requirement. Each case presents the employer’s and employee’s perspective.
