Rudman Winchell, Counselors at Law in Bangor, Maine is proud to announce that David C. King, Frank T. McGuire, and Edmond J. Bearor have been recognized by New England Super Lawyers for 2015. David C. King a native of Brewer, Maine, is a graduate of Bates College, where he was a Travelli Scholar, and of Boston University School of Law, cum laude, where he served as an Editor of the Law Review.

David has tried more than 100 cases to verdict in Superior and Federal District Court. He is “AV” rated by Martindale Hubbell, the organizations highest rating.

He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the John Waldo Ballou Inn of Court, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. David also serves as a member of the Maine Civil Rules Advisory Committee, the Governor’s Judicial Selection Committee, the Maine Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee and is a Founding Member, Federal Bar Association, Maine Chapter.

David King’s practice areas include Insurance Defense and Litigation, Employment and Labor Law, and Mediation and Arbitration. He is recognized in Best Lawyers, Chambers USA, and New England Super Lawyers.

David is a Fellow of the Maine Bar Foundation.

Frank T. McGuire is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College and earned his law degree at Northeastern University School of Law. Born in Biddeford, Maine, Frank grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut.  He served as law clerk to Associate Justice Francis J. Quirico of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court before he joined Rudman Winchell in 1980.

Frank advises and represents organizations and individuals in a range of employment, labor, and personnel matters, and in probate and estate matters.  Frank practices regularly in state and federal court, and before the Maine Human Rights Commission, the Maine Unemployment Insurance Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other federal and state agencies.  He is a past president and past secretary/treasurer of the Penobscot County Bar Association.

Frank and his wife Mary Ann live in Brewer, Maine.  They have three grown children.  In civic life Frank is a director and President of the Ellen M. Leach Memorial Home, an elderly congregate living facility, and a director and President of the Brewer Economic Development Corporation.  He served for over 20 years as a commissioner of the Brewer Housing Authority.

Edmond J. Bearor is a Jay, Maine native. He is a graduate of the University of Maine and of the University Of Maine School Of Law.

Ed served as town administrator for Newport, Maine. He is a former member of Maine’s Regional Transportation Advisory Committee and a former co-chair of the Municipal Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association. Attorney Bearor’s practice includes Municipal and Government LawReal Estate Law, and School Law. He has experience with Litigation as well as Mediation cases.

In 2012 Ed was selected as the Best Lawyer of the Year for Land Use and Zoning Law.

Ed has been recognized as a Best Lawyer since 2006, and continues to hold this distinction today. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine in the Public Management program teaching Local Government Law to upper class undergraduates and graduate students.

Ed Bearor has been the Managing Partner of Rudman Winchell since 2010.

Hans Peterson devotes a significant portion of his practice to complex commercial financing transactions, including SBA 504 loan closings; the formation and structuring of real estate holding and leasing enterprises; advising and structuring tax deferred like kind exchanges for real estate and personal property; and the creation and structure of business enterprises and partnerships.

Hans’ corporate and business practice also includes non-profit clients in the education, transportation, economic development, and charitable non-profit organization sectors, where he advises those clients in the areas of tax-exemption qualification and compliance; governance; and commercial transactions including contracts, mergers, asset acquisitions, joint ventures, leases and financing transactions.

Allison A. Economy’s practice focuses on litigation and creditors’ rights matters. She also has experience in commercial lending, finance and real estate law. Allison represents creditors in work-outs and bankruptcies, particularly adversary proceedings. She also represents lenders in various commercial real estate and asset-based financings.

Jonathan P. Bench
 advises clients throughout the entire business life cycle including: entity formation, venture capital and business financing, securities offerings, leasing, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. His clients represent businesses from many sectors, including finance, construction, energy, hospitality, healthcare, retail, tourism, agriculture, aerospace, securities and technology.

Joshua A. Randlett is a trial attorney in Rudman Winchell’s litigation practice group, with his work being primarily devoted to civil litigation. He has experience representing clients in state and federal courts in Maine on matters involving products liability, Section 1983 civil rights litigation, wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, automobile franchisor and franchisee disputes, complex business disputes, premises liability, trucking accidents, and motor vehicle accidents.

Josh has represented individuals, insurance companies, and businesses ranging from small local companies to international automobile manufacturers and airlines.
