Anne-Marie Storey to present at annual Workers’ Comp Summit

By Rudman Winchell Attorney

Rudman Winchell is pleased to announce that Anne-Marie Storey, Esq.  will be presenting two plenary sessions at the Maine Workers’ Compensation Summit on Sunday, August 23 at the Samoset Resort.

The first is entitled “The Great Debate: Was Timely Notice Given? Is This a Work-Related Injury or Not?”.  This is a debate-style presentation that will focus on when an injury arises and when a worker must give notice to the employer.

Following that, Anne-Marie will also present a session entitled “What Comp Professionals Need to Know About HR”, which will focus on the types of leave an employee may be entitled to in Maine and how a workers’ compensation claim interacts with and influences requests for leave and reinstatement.

Finally, Anne-Marie will be arguing the first live Appellate Division argument on Tuesday, August 26 pertaining to a case that involves an “arising out of” issue resulting from a fall on a stairwell.
