Rudman Winchell Counselors at Law in Bangor, Maine announces that attorney Anne-Marie Storey will be a presenter at the Maine Human Resources Convention. Storey will host a session entitled “Hiring- Best Practices in Maine” on Tuesday May 10 at the Samoset Resort.

In making the announcement, convention manager Bud Bernstein noted that Anne-Marie “always brings something creative to the convention floor and in this case she will offer you a wide range of tools to make sure your hiring practices comply with the law.”

The 16th annual Maine HR Convention runs from May 10-13, 2011. This 4-day event draws more than 700 participants from across the state. This year’s exciting theme is “In an HR Minute.” For additional convention information, please visit

Anne-Marie Storey is a Past-President of the HRAEM SHRM chapter. She is a graduate of Middlebury College, after which she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand. Anne-Marie graduated cum laude from Vermont Law School, where she was a Notes Editor for the Vermont Law Review.  She serves on the Board of Directors of the Maine Discovery Museum, the Greater Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, and the Bangor Humane Society.  She is also the President-Elect of the Maine State Bar Association and is a member of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court’s Advisory Committee on Maine Rules of Evidence.

.Anne-Marie is a frequent speaker to human resource professionals and other groups on employment related topics, and regularly contributes articles to various business-related publications.
