Attorney Matthew M. Cobb joins the firm
Rudman Winchell, Counselors at Law in Bangor, Maine is proud to announce that Attorney Matthew M. Cobb has joined the firm as an associate.
Matthew will be working in the litigation department primarily focusing on Employment and Municipal Law. He’ll also work on appellate matters as part of his professional practice.
Matthew M. Cobb was born in Machias, Maine, and was raised in coastal Washington County. He graduated from the University of Maine cum laude with a bachelor of arts in history and a minor in political science.
Attorney Cobb earned his law degree magna cum laude from the University Of Maine School Of Law, where he received the Honorable Daniel E. Wathen Legal Writing Award and the Faculty Significant Achievement Award. During law school, Matthew served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Maine Law Review and as a Legal Writing Teaching Instructor. He also interned at the Maine Department of Transportation and at the Department of Justice, in the Appellate Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in Portland.
Matthew worked as a summer associate at Rudman Winchell in 2010.
Following law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice Andrew M. Mead of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
Matt currently lives in Bangor, and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and son. He also enjoys soccer, exploring Maine’s great outdoors, and following the UMaine Black Bear Ice Hockey team.
