Caitlyn S. Smith

Biography

Caitlyn S. Smith focuses her practice at Rudman Winchell on litigation, primarily in the areas of family and criminal law. Caitlyn is a member of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, Maine State Bar Association Penobscot Bar Association, Maine Association by Criminal Defense Attorney and the John Waldo Ballou Inn of Court.

Caitlyn is a native of Maine, graduating from Bangor High School in 2007. She received her B.A. in English with a minor in Political Science and History, cum laude, from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in 2011. Caitlyn graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2014 where she received the Cali award for the highest grades in Juvenile Justice and Children and the Law. She is admitted to practice before the State Courts of Maine and Massachusetts.

Caitlyn worked for AmeriCorps after graduating from law school representing unaccompanied minors in immigration proceedings. Following AmeriCorps she worked at the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Boston, Massachusetts representing indigent clients in child protection matters. In November 2015 Caitlyn moved back to Bangor, Maine where she practiced family and criminal law before joining Rudman Winchell in 2016.

In her free time, Caitlyn enjoys running, skiing, and playing with her golden retriever, Cooper.
