Jane focuses her practice exclusively on special needs planning for individuals with disabilities and on elder law which includes estate and incapacity planning, probate proceedings, estate and trust administration, fiduciary representation, residents’ rights, and both proactive long-term care planning and crisis MaineCare planning. She has practiced law in Bangor since 1988, and she opened the Maine Elder Law Firm in 2001. Jane is a member of the Special Needs Alliance (SNA), ElderCounsel, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and she is a past chair of the Elder Law Section.
Jane graduated from the University of Maine with highest honors in 1981 and from the University of Maine School of Law in 1985.
