Jennifer L. Eastman
Jennifer L. Eastman concentrates her Rudman Winchell practice on estate planning and administration, and elder law. She advises clients on all aspects of estate planning and administration including transfers of family businesses and camps, and generational planning minimizing tax implications of transfer. Her probate practice includes guardianships and conservatorships, as well as representation of fiduciaries and trust beneficiaries.
Jennifer’s experience includes assisting clients in Medicare planning and application, and the creation of special needs trusts. Jennifer also represents clients in guardianships and conservatorships for minor children and disabled or incapacitated adults.
She is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and in 2013 was named Chairperson of the Elder Law Section. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is recognized as a Best Lawyer in America.
Jennifer is very active in the community and serves on the board of directors for Penobscot Community Health Care and the Maine Women’s Fund. She is a member of the Trust Endowment Committee for Spruce Run and Bangor Fusion. She is also a board member for the Katahdin Area Boy Scouts.
Jennifer grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked as a legal assistant while studying at Arizona State University. After college, Jen came to the east coast to attend law school, and moved quickly north to settle in Bangor after graduating from the College of William and Mary. Jennifer joined Rudman Winchell in December of 2010, after working for several years at another Bangor firm.
Jennifer and her husband Marc have three young children. They love the outdoors and enjoy camping throughout Maine’s coast. In her free time, she participates in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with her kids, and enjoys nurturing her skills in wool felting.
