Before he served as an Associate Justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, Paul L. Rudman, Attorney at Law, was engaged in the general practice of law, focusing on corporate law, real estate development, and first-party insurance claims. He was appointed to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court in 1992. He served on the Court until his retirement on July 1, 2005.
While a member of the Court, Paul served as a liaison to the Board of the Overseers of the Bar and the Media and Courts Committee. He was chair of the Judicial Education Committee and the Sentence Review Panel. He also served as a member of the Judicial Advisory Board of the AEI-Brookings Judicial Education Program.
Paul is a native of Bangor, Maine. He is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, Yale College, and George Washington University School of Law.
