Rudman Winchell Attorneys John K. Hamer and F. David Walker IV Become Partners at the Firm.

Rudman Winchell, Counselors at Law in Bangor, Maine is proud to announce that John K. Hamer and F. David Walker IV will join the
firm as Partners effective January 1, 2014.

John K. Hamer was born in Germany and grew up in Amherst, New Hampshire. He received
his B.A. from McGill University, and earned his J.D. and a Master of Studies in
Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. He regularly advises both
public sector and private clients on issues including land use and zoning,
labor and employment, administrative process, and constitutional law. John also
handles litigation and appeals, and has appeared before the Maine Supreme
Judicial Court on many occasions. John is a regular presenter at Rudman Winchell’s Annual Employment Seminar.

Prior to joining Rudman Winchell, he served for more than eight years as Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Bangor. John
is a past President of the Downtown Bangor Partnership, a non-profit
organization whose mission is to promote and market activities that enhance the
distinctive identity of downtown Bangor.

John is married to Anne-Marie Storey, who is also a Partner at Rudman Winchell.

F. David Walker IV was born in the Bethesda Maryland Naval
Hospital, just outside of Washington D.C., and grew up on Navy bases around the
world. He graduated from the University of Alaska in Anchorage in 2000 with
leadership and academic honors. He obtained his J.D. from the University of
Maine in 2003. David spent his first year after law school clerking for the
Honorable Justice Paul L. Rudman of the Maine Supreme Court.

David’s practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury defense, medical liability, product liability, and commercial
litigation. He also specializes in OSHA law and has experience in defending
businesses, large and small, from OSHA citations. David has been certified by
OSHA as having successfully completed an extended course of study focusing on
both general industry and construction industry OSHA regulations.
