RW Attorneys Anne-Marie Storey and John Hamer take Polar Plunge for charity

By Rudman Winchell Attorney

Rudman Winchell attorneys Anne-Marie Storey and John Hamer, who also happen to be married, took part in the annual Polar Plunge. The event took place in Portland, Saturday February 11th. Dozens of hearty souls spent up to four minutes in the Atlantic Ocean! All proceeds went to benefit Camp Sunshine.

Camp Sunshine hosts Polar Plunges all over the east coast. So far this year hundreds of swimmers have raised almost $330,000. Organizers of the “Freezin’ for a Reason” fundraising events hope to raise $400,000. Rudman Winchell employees contributed almost $300 to the cause.

This is the second time this winter Anne-Marie and John have taken an out of season dip for charity.

On January 1 they braved sleet, snow and ice cold water and took the plunge in Portland to benefit the Natural Resources Council of Maine.
